Surgical Gatroenterology is lead by well trained GI and HPB surgeons with rich experience in GI onco surgery and advanced laparoscopy- competent to perform all Open and laparoscopic abdominal procedures. Along with state of art infrastructure, the department along with GI surgeons, has an experienced team of Medical gastroenterologists, anaesthetists, Vascular-Intervetional radiologists and critical care specialists to take care of preoperative, Intraoperative and postoperative needs of patients for successful outcomes of our patients.
The Department routinely performs advanced surgeries for both cancerous and non cancerous diseases affecting GI organs- esophagus, stomach, Liver, gall bladder and biliary system, pancreas, small intestine, colon and rectum, in addition to commonly performed keyhole surgeries like Lap/ Robotic Cholecystectomy ( emergency and elective), Lap/ Robotic appendectomy, Lap/ Robotic Hernia repair (TEP/ eTEP), etc.
