Dr Vinu Raj, is a Spine Surgeon, trained in Orthopaedic and Spine surgery in the United Kingdom. After completing MBBS from Dr B R Ambedkar Medical College, Bengaluru, he obtained extensive training in the United Kingdom leading to the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh- MRCS (Edin) - and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma & Orthopaedics - FRCS(Trauma&Ortho). He has also completed an 18-month Spinal Fellowship in Manchester, United Kingdom.
He is working as a Consultant Orthopaedic and Spine Surgeon at University Hospitals North Midlands, United Kingdom. He is working in a group of 9 Consultants in the Spinal unit, covering Spine care for a population of 3 million patients. He has wide ranging experience in managing all Spinal conditions including trauma, tumours, infection, cord injury, cord compression, spinal canal compression, correction of deformity, management of complex spinal conditions, management of spinal pain.
He has operated on patients with a variety of Spinal problems like cervical(neck) disc prolapse, cervical spinal cord compression, spinal cord compression due to tumour, complex spinal fractures, spinal fractures and dislocations, correction of adult deformity, spinal canal compression.
